Exos Corporation Signs a Brand Partner Agreement with Reel and Lacing Innovator, Boa Technology, Inc.

ST. PAUL, Minn. (January 10, 2008) – Exos Corporation announced today that it has signed a brand partner agreement with Boa Technology, Inc. that enables Exos to apply the strength and adjustability of the Boa Lacing System™ to its OrthoFoam™ Dry-Heat Thermoformable Splint/Cast/Brace Systems.  Exos plans to launch these revolutionary exoskeletal stabilization products to the healthcare market in mid-2008.

“By partnering with Boa,  we will offer patients and doctors the comfort and ease of the world’s first and only variable tensioning system for casts, braces and splints,” said Fariborz Boor Boor, Enova CEO and Exos President/CEO.  “The integration of Boa’s proven fastening and tensioning system and the revolutionary Exos OrthoFaom system is a tremendous breakthrough in orthopedics.  We look forward to introducing the technologies next year.”

As Gary Hammerslag, Boa founder and CEO, explains, “Boa prides itself on offering products that are based on high-performance body mechanics, sports science and innovation and we expect the same in our business partners.  We have considered entering the medical market for some time and have been looking for the right partner and the right technology in order for us to do it successfully,” said Hammerslag.  “The pairing of Boa’s systems with Exos’s orthopedic technology is a perfect match and the ideal opportunity for us to expand into the healthcare industry.”

Boa Technology Inc., founded by Gary Hammerslag in Steamboat Springs, CO, is the developer of the Boa Lacing System™ and the marketer of Boa lace reels, laces and lace guides.  The company sells its closure components on an OEM basis to footwear manufacturers who incorporate them into their own designs.  Boa does not design or manufacture footwear of any kind.  Their sole focus is continual improvement of closure components and manufacturing excellence.
