William Heegaard, MD, Elected to the Enova Medical
Board of Directors
ST. PAUL, Minn. (May 3, 2007) – Enova Medical Technologies is pleased to announce today that William G. Heegaard, M.D., has been elected to join its board of directors.
Dr. Heegaard is a board-certified emergency physician who practices at a Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC), a level one-trauma center located in Minneapolis, Minn. He serves as assistant chief at HCMC Department of Emergency Medicine and is an associate professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Minnesota Medical School. Dr. Heegaard has served as chairman of the board and is currently co-medical director of LifeLink III, a non-profit transport corporation. He is the principal author of the head trauma chapter in Rosen’s emergency medicine textbook. He has been an examiner for the American Board of Emergency Medicine since 2001. Additionally, Dr. Heegaard was a co-founder of MedTreo, LLC., a privately-held early stage medical device company.
Dr. Heegaard graduated from the University of Minnesota Medical School in 1991. He also received his Masters in Public Health with a concentration in epidemiology from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health in 1991.
